The Faculty of Historical Sciences, the University Library and the Scientific Publishing House of the Nicolaus Copernicus University cordially invite you to the promotion of the book Chronicle and deeds of Polish princes and rulers, translated and edited by Tadeusz Grudziński - deceased historian-medievalist, a long-time research employee of the Nicolaus Copernicus University.

The publication is unique because it contains previously unpublished, although prepared for many years by the outstanding historian from Toruń, prof. Tadeusz Grudziński, translation of the chronicle of Gallus Anonymus.

The meeting will start on June 18, 2024 at 11:30 in the auditorium of the University Library, and will be led by Krzysztof Nierzwicki, PhD - director of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Library. The guests of the meeting will be prof. Ph.D. Stanisław Roszak - dean of the Faculty of Historical Sciences of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, prof. Piotr Oliński from the Department of Medieval History and Auxiliary Sciences of History, WNH, and ambassador Przemysław Grudziński - Polish historian, diplomat, undersecretary of state at the Ministry of National Defense (1992–1993) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998–2000, 2008–2009), ambassador of the Republic of Poland in the United States (2000–2005), permanent representative of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations Office in Vienna (2009–2014) and ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Finland (2015–2017).
